As far as exclusivity goes, Florida's Fisher Island is a luxury destination without parallel. Situated just off the tip of Miami Beach, this prestigious island was once owned by the Vanderbilt family and remains a favorite among celebrities, high-profile individuals and even royalty, to this day. Palazzo del Sol, a 10-story residential tower designed by Kobi Karp, takes Fisher Island’s five-star exclusivity and raises it by a star. The prestigious property lays claim to some of the island's most sought-after real estate, providing its residents with an extra layer of privacy and discretion, including private elevators, full-service concierge services, amenities such as a movie theater and hair salon and unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean, Government's Cut and lush greenery of Fisher Island Golf Club. Within its luxurious confines lies a truly covetable gem currently on the market with an asking price of $36,410,000 — a 7,302 square-foot, five-bedroom meticulously designed masterpiece conceived by Geneva-based Dôme Project Interiors. Listing agent Tatyana Ionin of Coldwell Banker Realty in Miami Beach calls the condo "the very essence of opulent living." The Dôme team's vision, which encompassed all the interior design elements of the habitable spaces, as well as the furnishings and the decoration, drew inspiration from Miami's Art Deco past and infused it with contemporary European sensibility. The curtains, cushions, and headboards were all meticulously hand-sewn in the Swiss studios. "The aim," says the team, "was to create a warm and elegant interior" by blending "noble and natural materials" to seemingly blend with the seaside ambiance. Their eye for detail and balanced juxtaposition plays out in their mix of refined architectural elements like the cornices and moldings, mother-of-pearl panels and hand-painted wallpapers with organic textures like shagreen. They call the expansive over 2,000-square-foot living room and lounge "the jewel of the project.” It's apparent why as soon as you take in the spectacular panoramic view of the ocean and South Beach from floor-to-ceiling windows that slide open to a massive 2,471 square-foot terrace. Lighting fixtures ornamented with glass pendants lend a reflective quality to this space. In the dining room, hand-painted sumptuous panorama wallpaper adds sophistication. A custom-made wooden trellised panel, an architectural work of art, separates the dining room, allowing light to gracefully circulate and create a visually captivating flow between spaces. Lacquered wood – a recurring element – casts a warm and exotic aura, unifying all the rooms. In the master bedroom's dressing room, the presence of lacquered wood has been further elevated with sumptuous handles, meticulously designed and crafted by the Dôme project team. They designed the master bedroom to be a haven onto itself with panoramic wallpaper behind the headboard, enhanced by two pendant lights adorned with gleaming dripping glass decorations. They extended the same level of dedication to the other four bedrooms. Vibrant and cheerful tones were carefully chosen for the children's rooms, while an intricate woodwork structure was meticulously crafted to create a double-deck bed with an integrated desk. Playful hand-painted wallpapers, reminiscent of the seafront surroundings, infuse the space with a serene oceanic ambiance. The remaining children's bedrooms exude an elegant and warm atmosphere, thoughtfully designed in soothing blue and pink hues. The guest room reveals a delightful fusion of wallpapers, lacquered wood, and mirrors, with two signature table lamps adding finesse to the decor. There's also a study and media room. "In every corner, in every detail, this interior design masterpiece is an eloquent expression of precision and opulence," Ionin sums up. A Palazzo del Sol address simply adds to the condo's cachet. The lush 4.5-acre waterfront site is "a true piece of paradise with views, six-star luxury and the utmost in privacy reserved exclusively for you," she adds.
