The Most Stylish Home Offices in the U.S.

As many of us have made the sudden shift to working from home, the home office has earned its rightful place in the spotlight. Home offices or flex spaces were already a desirable amenity for many affluent homebuyers. In fact, Coldwell Banker Global Luxury® Specialists reported earlier this year that home office/flex spaces were the second most desirable luxury home amenity after outdoor living spaces in The Report: 2020. With that in mind, we're taking you coast to coast and sharing some of the most eye-catching home offices and flex spaces we could find in the Coldwell Banker Global Luxury program. These workspaces may differ in style, substance and space, but they have one element in common: stunning design.

Haute Home Offices

Designer Megan Winters completely reimagined this 1962 Lake Forest traditional estate by renowned architect Jerome Cerny with her high contrast, feast-for-the-eyes style. The office may be politely subdued compared to the rest of the bold 5,682 square-foot interiors, but it's no less inspiring with a modern nod to classicism. Listed by Annie Royster Lenzke and Jean Royster with Dawn McKenna Group, Coldwell Banker Realty, Lake Forest This office in Boca Raton is inspiring from all angles. Plenty of built-ins, bookshelves, television and gorgeous art will keep you in the perfect workflow all day — if you can keep yourself from getting distracted by all of the visual stimulation the designers integrated into the newly constructed house, like the aquarium-grade waterfall pool feature, poolside firepit, observation deck and putting green. (Did we mention there's an even a homework lounge to keep the kids entertained?) Listed by Jonathan Postma of Coldwell Banker Realty, Boca Resort Modern and traditional themes merge effortlessly in this oh-so-chic office space in Bel Air.  The design collaboration between ANR Signature Homes and Donald Kreindler brought the entire newly constructed estate to life in many inspiring ways. The ground floor workspace — with its soothing gray color palette, painted wainscotting and built-in bookshelves with plenty of natural light and a view to the outdoors — proves that California casual sophistication still rules. Listed by Todd Baker, Coldwell Banker Realty, Brentwood Grand and elegant are two words that first come to mind for this stately study in Greenwich, Connecticut. From the parquet and inlay floors to the antique mantel, classical artistry is on full display against the majestic backdrop of sweeping lawns, specimen trees, perennial gardens and Wilshire Lake. Fabulous Flex Spaces

Work may be the last thing on your mind if you're spending your days in this new island-inspired dream house designed by Costa Mesa-based JZMK Partners, but the way they oriented this loft-like double workspace — complete with a view overlooking the lush Hawaiian gardens — is positively genius. Listed by Tracy Allen of Coldwell Banker Pacific Properties While this Seattle-area "Winter Beach" Georgian Colonial has an impressive home office, this designer flex space makes a bold impact with dynamic zigzag black-and-white wallpaper and a picturesque view to the outside. Listed by Terry Allen and Patricia Wallace of Coldwell Banker Bain Small yet mighty — who wouldn't mind working from home if you could look at views of Aspen forest every day? Dallas-based designer Debra Owens partnered with Zone 4 Architects and Aspen-based Madigan+Co. to create a modern expression of mountain living that completely blends the indoors with the outdoors.
