Laura had been searching for her most fulfilling career path after majoring in Marketing at Eastern Illinois University. After graduation, she became an Events Manager at Chicago's exciting and historic Soldier Field, but while she very much enjoyed the events industry, she wanted something even more challenging. When she landed a position in real estate with top producer Matt Shrake, she realized how exciting work could be by utilizing her talents to help clients realize a lifelong dream of homeownership.
Laura embraced the real estate industry in 2015. She learned all the facets of real estate from the ground up under Matt's guidance and went on to get licensed a year later and became a member of the Shrake Group. Her passion for real estate was enforced by the people she met and her tireless desire to help them find their perfect home. While working with clients from all walks of life, she was exposed to the marketing of high-end residential real estate. The various interesting lifestyles of her many clients led her to become a Certified Luxury agent in 2021. Laura loves all kinds of real estate. From renters to first-time buyers, and from those downsizing to those looking for second homes for investment opportunities, Laura's passion and drive to serve her clients shines through in each and every transaction.
After being born and raised in Elmwood Park, IL, then graduating from college, Laura moved to Chicago, got married, and started a family. Laura, her husband, and their growing family were drawn to Chicago's western suburb of Wheaton as their family grew. This town offered them so much, and they knew immediately they had made the right decision for their family. Laura experienced personally the feeling she wants all her clients to feel when they find their new home!
In Wheaton, Laura quickly met many new friends, new colleagues, and new clients. She enjoys passing her passion for soccer and dance on to her kids, and keeps them involved in both. She is a loyal parishioner at St. Michael's Church, is a PTA volunteer at her children's school, and enjoys being a member at Medinah Country Club. Despite her hectic Realtor® schedule, Laura enjoys spending any free time she has with her family and close friends. You can find her out and about enjoying evenings in downtown Wheaton, or running her kids to one of their activities after school. In case you're wondering, Sogno is one of Laura's absolute favorite Wheaton restaurants! Laura also makes sure to set aside time from raising her family and showing homes to continue her 16-year tradition of raising awareness and funds for Multiple Sclerosis, a cause very near to her heart.
