Originally born and raised in New York, Malissa attended Drexel University and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Design & Merchandising. She spent over 21 years working for two powerhouse companies, beginning with QVC, where she spent 18 years receiving an unparalleled education in sales from an entirely new perspective as an on-air talent, and SPANX, working as a Field Sales Specialist. With a background in sales and marketing and a passion for architecture and design, the shift into real estate was natural, as she always knew that she wanted to chart a path to helping others. On vacation, she first encountered Center Street's charm and Amelia Island's natural wonders and thought of her hometown on the North Shore of Long Island, NY. She wanted to get back to the nostalgic Norman Rockwellian atmosphere of her childhood in Northport but without cold winters and immediately knew this would be where she would set her roots. She is committed to guiding customers through what may be one of their most significant investments and through what can be a highly emotional process by being responsive and available. She believes in regular, clear communication, being an adept listener, valuing integrity, and doing the right thing for the long term. Malissa believes in giving back to her community and has been very active with numerous non- profit organizations, including Elephant Refuge North America, The Humane Society, and The Special Olympics.
